RTI – Impact Evaluation and Literacy Evaluation in Mozambique

20170510_145351_-_Copy.jpgEarlier this year, ELIM was contracted by Research Triangle Institute - International (RTI) to conduct a baseline survey aiming to measure acquiring reading skills, and ultimately spur more effective efforts to improve performance in this core learning skills for grades 2 and 4 in Mozambique as well understand how effectiveness and sustainable are the Feed Programme at schools. Around 360 schools among the provinces of Nampula and Maputo will bennefit from this project.

UNICEF/AIR - Evaluation of the UNICEF Mozambique Accelerated School Readiness Pilot Program

ELIM Serviços was contracted by American Institutes for Research - AIR to conduct the Accelerated School Readiness Pilot program evaluation funded by UNICEF Mozambique. The purpose of this evaluation is to test the effects of the Save the Children Accelerated School Readiness program on the children's school promptness and a successful transition to a primary school in the Mozambican province of Zambézia using the IDELA tool. 


Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC) - Baseline Data Globalisation and Result Framework Revision of the FSNP


Recently ELIM conducted the Baseline data Globalisation and Result Framework Revision of the Food, Security and Nutrition Progamme in Gaza Province, Mozambique, for the Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC).

To accomplish this assignment ELIM had the following deliverables:

1. Enhance Governance for Sustainable Food Security and Nutrition through Local Governance;
2. Improve Rural Livelihoods of Vulnerable Households;
3. Improve Effective Food Security Coordination.

USAID Mozambique - Zones of Influence (ZOI) project in Mozambique, 2015

ELIM was contracted by Westat to conduct the Zone of Influence (ZOI) large-scale household surveys in geographic areas targeted by Feed the Future (FTF) interventions in Mozambique on behalf of USAID to measure progress in addressing global food insecurity. These population-based surveys capture information related to agriculture, food security, food consumption, nutrition, women’s empowerment, and well-being for the households in the ZOI.


The World Bank Group - SLWRMP Baseline Survey in Mozambique, 2016

Contracted by The World Bank Group, ELIM conducted the Sustainable Project of Land and Water Resources Management (SLWRMP) on behalf of AfBD in Gaza province district of Mabalane, Guija, Massangena and Chicualalala.

USAID - Performance Evaluation of the Loan Portfolio Guarantees through the Development Credit Authority

The Development of Credit Authority (DCA) is guaranteed by funds from USAID/Washington and managed by USAID/Mozambique.
It is designed to strengthen the guaranteed party’s (lending institutions) ability to finance loans to medium-sized farm, agribusiness and tourism enterprises in Mozambique, thereby stimulating economic growth. All DCA activities are national in scope, with special concentration on the Beira and Nacala corridors and the southern zone of Mozambique (the banks can lend anywhere but the borrowers could not be located in Maputo City.
