IMG 9128

ELIM Serviços was contracted by American Institutes for Research - AIR to conduct the Accelerated School Readiness Pilot program evaluation funded by UNICEF Mozambique. The purpose of this evaluation is to test the effects of the Save the Children Accelerated School Readiness program on the children's school promptness and a successful transition to a primary school in the Mozambican province of Zambézia using the IDELA tool.

Two districts are involved in the project, namely Morrumbala and Derre, in which 60 communities will participate, of which 30 are part of the treatment group and 30 are part of the control group in both districts. This project is divided in the following three sections: Baseline, Mid-Term and Endline Evaluation. On this assignment, we are responsible to assist the AIR evaluation team with the final review of the data collection tools, conduct the quantitative data collection and qualitative data collection, data entry and the final report writing. The impact evaluation is expected to cover 1200 children from 5- to 6-year-old targeted during the first year of the program or a random sample of beneficiaries, in addition to an equivalent number of children from the control group.
