Dear Partner,

As the World grapples with the COVID19 pandemic, ELIM is taking measures to protect the safety and health of its employees while also ensuring the continuation and quality of our services. We are confident that, while some changes will be necessary, together we can still achieve tangible impact under the new conditions.

A state of national emergency and of disaster have been declared in Mozambique and South Africa respectively, where ELIM has its two corporate offices. In adherence to the call for maximised caution and prevention issued by these governments, we have put in place strict measures to protect our corporate and field staff.

During the time of restricted mobility, our headquarters in Maputo will remain open with a skeleton staff to ensure administrative continuity, while our regional office in Johannesburg will be closed.

Our technical and business development staff will continue supporting our clients and partners while working remotely and maximising the use of technology for meetings and reporting. Our research services may be adversely impacted as planned field work will have to be rescheduled during the recommended period of restricted movement. However, we will be engaging closely with our clients to rework plans to minimise any losses during this time.

The consequences of COVID-19 are compounded by the impact of the various economic challenges the World is facing and we anticipate the next weeks to be trying to businesses and individuals alike. We pray and have faith that together, we will overcome these challenges and emerge as stronger societies, closer communities and more a resilient people. As an organisation, we continue seek out new solutions to strengthening the social and economic resilience of our communities and look forward to collaborating with you in this endeavour. As a family, we stand together in faith and solidarity to support each other in this difficult time.
We thank you for your continued support and wish you health and strength in your organisation and in your family.

May God bless and protect us all.
